I enjoyed creating my essay, because it required the information to sink in, so I wasn’t just creating a essay off of a random information source, I was actually learning.  Also, since I am such a computer guy, I loved working with iLife ‘08, because of it’s new media browser sharing mechanism.  And, there’s more, I loved the project in general, because it is straightforward work, and there is no part of it that is just work for the sake of work.

Although, I was constantly frustrated working with my group.  I cannot deny that there were times that they were not doing any work, and times that I was the one not focusing.  In the end I decided to split up with my group, and ended up fine.

My opinion about the Jews generally remained unchanged.  I went in with an open mind, and never doubted them because I am not of their religion.  I have always known that Judaism had a reason for their beliefs, and I just took that knowlege into further depth.  Although, I do not believe I would make more documentaries about them in the future, because I believe that I can go on with only a general idea of the events in their history.

As I stated, I believe this was two sided, but I wasted more time getting my groupmates to focus than I put time into working.  And, as I also stated, I split up with them, and found later that it was a good decision, and I am more than satisfied with the finished product.  I also discovered that I have a career as a professional narrator in the recording process.

If I had to create another documentary, I would likely create it about the Egyptians, to learn about their side of the Jews’ history.

By writing my own rubric, I taught myself very well how to set expectations, and to show myself in black and white the consequences of procrastination and not putting effort into my work.

I wish I could say better, although I split up with my group rather late, and only had one week to start from scratch and finish my project, without letting my grade suffer.  I can’t say much other than I will never procrastinate again.

As I also stated, this is a very good way to learn about the history of the Jews, or any topic, because you can learn very much from it as well as teach others what you learned.
